So it looks like another 3-4 weeks until we'll have internet and cable at home and 1 week to get a house phone. This has been a really long and complicated process (including much frustration and giving up on Comcast) - so we're happy to at least sort of have it figured out. That's what we get for living in country. :) I guess we're going to get IP video which comes, strangely enough, through the phone line. Has anyone heard of this? It sounds like crazy talk to me. :)

The house looks beautiful! We can't wait to see it. When we moved to Knoxville we came very, very, close to giving up on Comcast and ended up giving them one last chance. We still have it but when we move we will probably go w/Direct TV. I haven't heard of the phone line thing but I'm sure it will be o.k.
i've heard of the IP Video stuff. i'm waiting on it here actually ... AT&T is currently setting it up for our area (called "Uverse"). it's a way for the phone companies to compete with the cable companies. they basically bring a fast internet connection to your house and stream video through it. a co-worker is having it installed in about a week (she lives in another part of town where they are further along).
